Gros Ventre Residence

This residence is located high above the Spring Creek valley floor with stunning views to Grand Teton National Park. Mark Hershberger assisted Carney Architects to locate the three buildings, including a guest house and sod covered garage tucked into the hillside. Parks are passive and active, mutli-seasonal and flexible in function. Simplicity and environmental stewardship are principal elements of enduring parks projects.

Ranches are complex in how they operate through the seasons. The land, and operations, read strong in every well functioning, beautiful ranch.

Every site provides opportunities for house placement, orientation and access at any scale. The exterior should interact with the interior, and outdoor space is best defined with existing elements.

Communities are diverse requiring unique responses to every project.

The natural environment is the draw for most resort communities. Connecting visitors and residence to the environment is central in the resort experience.
